Fire For Effect Training Courses

We offer a variety of firearms courses, both public and private. We can also help you get the right equipment and gear to send you in the right direction and help you get the gun training you need!

Handgun

Our introductory handgun course provides an excellent overview of the world of firearms. It is perfect for the first-time owner or new shooter. This course is a great way for people who are new to handguns or maybe just want a refresher. Others may want more understanding of the fundamentals or simply to develop their skills in a fun, safe environment. You will get training on safe firearm handling procedures, general handgun knowledge, the fundamentals of marksmanship, as well as the proper care and storage of firearms. This class will deliver a solid foundation to build upon and give beginners the skills they need to become responsible, confident shooters.

The other huge piece we are giving you is the ability to not only survive but win a firearms encounter if you are forced to do so. We teach you how to draw from a concealed carry, shoot a controlled pair center mass in 2 seconds or less. Followed by a failure to stop shot if neccessary. You can see this series demonstrated in the video above. This is purely defensive handgun training. The best gunfight is always the one you DO NOT HAVE. Walk away is always good advice.

Rifle

This course is ideal for individuals wanting to refresh their rifle skills, those that are new to guns, or anyone seeking an understanding of the fundamentals in a fun and safe atmosphere. You’ll learn how to handle firearms safely and acquire general rifle knowledge. Furthermore, you will receive training in the foundations of marksmanship as well as proper firearms maintenance and storage. This course provides a solid base for novices wanting to learn the skills they’ll need to be responsible and confident shooters.

Shotgun

A shotgun is one of the most powerful weapons you can bring to bear in a personal defense fight. The problem is that shotguns are ammo limited. This means they cannot have as many rounds in the magazine compared to a typical semi-automatic pistol or semi-automatic rifle.

Some individuals believe the shotgun is nothing more than a point and shoot weapon. The shotgun, on the other hand, is not a cannon. The quantity of hits it can produce is limited to the number of pellets in the shell, which spread out into a pattern. Depending on the ammunition you use, this pattern may expand at greater distances over time.

A lack of familiarity with the shotgun is one of the most common issues among students. The owner’s handbook is a decent place to start, but an instructor may quickly get you up to speed on the most essential features and work on them. With only a few days’ training, we can transform you from novice to being competent with a shotgun.

The 12-gauge shotgun is arguably the most popular and versatile firearm in the world. Its adaptability stems from the sheer variety of ammunition available, making it suitable for everything from hunting and sport shooting to home defense and law enforcement applications. But navigating the sea of 12-gauge ammo can be daunting. So, what are the different types of 12-gauge ammo?
